You Rock

Malia got to have a friend from her dance class come over to play the other night. Her name is Isabel. They would only let me take one picture of them and it didn't turn out very clear because I moved. Anyway, I am posting it because after she left I found this cute message on the magna doodle and it made me laugh. If you haven't had a child in kindergarten you may need help translating the sound spelling. It says " You rock I love you guy's, it is an honor to be here." You have to try to read the actual writing on the magna doodle it 's adorable. And thank you to Isabel for the sweet note you left us you are awesome!

Utah Dance Fest 2008

We just got home from a very exciting trip to Logan, Utah for Malia's dance competition. Here is her team. They had a long exhausting Saturday but they did a great job! I had so much fun being with Malia. It's hard to get that one on one time in with my kids so I really enjoyed it! We had lots of time to talk and laugh and do fun stuff! Malia and I loved seeing the Logan Temple! We went to lunch and watched a lot of dancing! A fun adventure that I will always remember!

Chuck E Cheese

This weekend I took Malia to Logan for a dance competition. Summer didn't think it was fair at all that she couldn't go. I wanted her to feel like she had something special to do to so I told her to pick a friend and we would go to chuck e cheese. Not my most favorite place in the world but willing to sacrifice for the happiness of my children. It was actually really fun! We had a blast. I was fully amused watching Summer and Kyra run around and drop tokens in random machines having no idea what the machine would do. Then they would get all excited and jump up and down when a ticket popped out. They had cinnamon sticks and root beer (healthy lunch I know) and then Kyra entertained us with her sweet dance moves! We finished it off by turning in our 116 tickets which surprisingly almost bought two coloring posters ( I had to add two dollars to make up for the tickets we lacked.) Ember tagged along happy as could be even though it was smack in the middle of her nap time, and Summer felt ok with me leaving to Logan after her special day. I guess it was time well spent at Chuck E Cheese. ( we passed on the pizza, we heard its not that great:) I love these pencil sketch pictures done in the machine at chuck e cheese for one token! Cheapest adorable photography I've ever seen!

I feel like I just stepped out of a salon....oh wait I did!

Okay people let's get some serious comments coming in here. I decided to go for a fresh new look. Short hair and highlights. So what do ya think? I love the way Sasha did it so thanks Sasha. Anyone who has done my hair (Julie, Sasha, and Christa) know that it is a lot of hair to have to highlight and round brush. You have to have some serious arm muscles. Now I need a pedicure! Anyway it feels good to change things up! I highly suggest it!

Buddies

This is Jack, Kyra, and Summer. They are three little cuties. Yesterday they were playing in the backyard and having so much fun. They were playing pirates and house and everything else they could think up! I love that we have so many kids on our street. My kids have great friends and there is never a dull moment. This other picture is of Jack and Summer saying "cheers!" I'm not sure they knew what they were cheering about but it sure was cute!

MOMMY'S JOB

I WAS TALKING TO MY GIRLS ABOUT WHAT DADDY DOES WHEN HE GOES TO WORK. I WAS TELLING THEM THAT HE BUILDS HOUSES. SUMMER ASKED ME WHAT MY JOB WAS. THEN WITHOUT HESITATION SHE SAID: " OH! NOW I KNOW DADDY DOES HOUSES FOR WORK AND MOMMY DOES COMPUTERS!" IS THAT A SIGN THAT I AM ON THE COMPUTER WAY TOO MUCH? HMMMM.......NA:)

O ! You Wanted Cheerios!

Just when I was thinking I had nothing to blog about today.......Actually I was helping my sister in law figure out her blog ( hows it goin' Kristen???) My cute Summer Lynn and her little sister Ember decide they want cheerios! Then they decided it would be so fun to walk all over them and crunch them! Woo Hoo! So Fun!!!! I asked Summer if that was a good choice or a bad choice and in our house we do thumbs up or thumbs down. Now is it just me or are her thumbs not quite up or down....maybe in between definitly a weak thumb down like she was trying to say "hey it was a bad choice but I enjoyed it?" And of course I had to grab the camera as any obsessed blogger would do:) My kids never fail to excite me. So much for my clean house! Notice Ember in the pantry...SHES IN THE SUGAR CONTAINER!!!

Recharging Children

I was looking at everyone's adorable post's tonight thinking why didn't I take one picture today? Then I remembered it's probably because my baby was crying all day and was a miserable mess. She was in so much pain. I was glad to put her to bed tonight so she could get some sleep and not be in pain! So today's blog is that I am thankful for sleep. I am so thankful for bedtime! The only problem is...i can't really think of them as sleeping.....more like recharging:) Just look at them! They are getting enough rest to destroy my clean house tomorrow! Funny thing is...i don't really care. They are adorable right?
PS Big thanks to Sandy and Nancy for saving my life today! What would I do without family close by? i don't even want to think about it! Thanks for your help. Here's a picture of the kids...recharging!

Backing Up!

Today was one of those days. My baby has this huge abscess and It was hurting her so bad. She was crying all morning long. So I took her to the dermatologist who then found it necessary to squeeze the heck out of it to clean it out! That was not fun! I hate seeing my kids in pain. Anyway, she survived and is on antibiotics so we are hoping things will get better.Having said that, I decided to spare you and me the pictures of that event. I wish I had some cute thing to blog about today but I didn't take one picture! Since I started blogging this month I have missed a few important events from the beginning of the year.I am going to start doing some catch up posts when I have time. There are these really cute pictures from Easter that I was wishing I had put on. Here they are! I love pictures of my girls with their daddy. He always makes everything so much fun for them. They love climbing all over him and playing tickle monster. Jason is a good sport. Even when he gets tired of it, he never lets it show!

Grandma and Grandpa are home!

This may not seem like a big deal being that they were only gone for a week, but we live across the street from them so we felt the loss! Here is my girls with their beautifully decorated sign! Malia decided to write " hola Hawaii people " can you tell she hears a lot of Spanish around here? See if you can find it on the sign somewhere among the amazing artwork. I love seeing their sound spelling it is so cute!

digging up weeds

Teren and Malia were so cute tonight! They were so funny to watch. They were trying to pull out some of the toughest weeds in the yard. Teren had a baseball bat and Malia had a shovel. i kept hearing grunting and yelling and loud weird banging...it was the baseball bat hitting the shovel. They were determined to get those weeds out. So cute to watch! I wish I had that much excitement when it comes to yard work! My yard would be beautiful!

Jump a Jump

We live two doors down from cousins and right now Ember likes her Aunt Sandy more then her mom. Several times this week I have found her booking it down the street saying "andy, andy " this means she wants her second mother, Aunt Sandy. Tonight she got to go play with her Aunt and she was so excited to jump on the trampoline for the first time in her life. Now she is saying jump a jump a jump. She's really going to be booking it down the street now Sandy...look out!

So much to blog about

As some of you may have noticed...I suddenly have this addiction to blogging! Ever since I found out I could print the thing at the end of the year and have it as a book for our family I have been eating, sleeping, and drinking my blog. So, if it seems like I am a little nuts posting three times a day:) Well, I probably am! I figure it can't hurt right? Something exciting always seems to be happening around here anyway so why not???? I 'm sure I will chill out eventually but for now...bear with me! Having said that....I forgot to post this adorable picture of my nephew Weston. He is Chad and Julie's baby. He is so cute! I was tending him for a while yesterday when he was being not so happy:), I did my best having no idea what to do with a little baby boy! I managed to get a couple cute shots and since i don't have any pictures of him yet...here's a cute one! It's so fun to have a baby boy around here!

Hallee, Abbi, Malia, Jade

Malia played with her friends all day today! Who knows what their little imaginations were dreaming up this time! They were being so good and playing so cute! I made them stop to take this picture on the deck. It turned out so cute i wanted to post it! They are all such beautiful girls with different personalities. It's so funny to watch them interact together. I can't help but feel like i'm young enough to play with them too.

Long Day

Do you ever get to the end of the day after the kids are asleep and look around and realize your house is completely thrashed! Well, tonight at about 9:30 PM (which is about twenty-five minutes ago) I finally got my kids down. They were having issues trying to go to sleep. I looked around and wanted to cry. I swear my house was so clean this morning! To a stranger walking in my house tonight it would look like I am a lazy woman. However...it seems like I cleaned all day. Well, I better go put my house back together so my kids can wake up to a clean house tomorrow and mess it all up again! Please comment if you have felt this way so I will know I am not alone on this one. I am really trying not to lose it tonight! Wish me luck! Seriously...what is all this stuff and where did it come from ??????

chocolate brownie beaters

Kyra and Summer were so excited when I yelled through the house that I needed two girls to lick beaters. They came running in to the kitchen and gladly volunteered to help me out. This resulted in two messy but happy girls.

Thank You Crayola

First and foremost I would like to thank the makers of Crayola for providing us with a washable marker. Why is it that no matter how many markers ( and Scissors ) I put up high or throw away, some small child always seems to find one laying around to do damage with! This is my 19 month old Ember putting on "ake up" as she calls it. You can see how she so carefully put it on her lips and then tried to eat it like she does chap stick. She really thought it was lip stick or something! This was at 9:30 this morning...kinda makes you wonder what kind of day today will be. Better stop blogging and watch kids right?

Cousins and Cups

Yesterday was an exciting day around the Jensen home. We got to babysit some cousins that we don't normally see, and have cousins over to play that live two doors down. As you can see by the cups on the counter...we had a lot of cousin fun. So I decided I didn't want to do a million dishes.....so out came the paper cups and the sharpie. Here are the cups and the cousins!

Happy Birthday to me!

I am so excited about this new bike situation. I really wanted a new bike for my birthday and I was so excited when once again my awesome husband decided to spoil me and get it for me! We realized quick I wasn't going to get that much riding time in without a trailer to pull the kids in. So once again my awesome husband decides to spoil me rotten. Friday night after we went to dinner we went to the mall and picked up a bike trailer! My kids are so excited. I can't believe how much we have already used it! Jason has a bike too so now the plan is to go on family bike rides! So excited!

Finished deck!

Yeah! My deck stairs are really done....almost...well, good enough for now at least we can walk up and down them right? Ember loved helping her daddy. She sat on the stair and handed him every screw while he put the trex on. She would hand it to him and say "screw" it was adorable!

Aloha Grandma and Grandpa

Ever since I can remember my parents have wanted to go to Hawaii. I remember them joking about it and saying someday they would go. So last year my husband and I went and I was wishing I could take them with me. Well, Spring Break is here and they are leaving this morning! We are so excited for them. There is no one that deserves it more then they do. So mom and dad.....have a blast and enjoy Hawaii! You deserve it!

Skidsteer Buddies

All my girls love riding in the skid steer with their dad. Ember did not want to get out! It was freezing cold and she still wanted to ride with her dad! Jason took his jacket off to keep her warm because the wind was blowing! Who needs Disneyland when you have a skid steer right?
Jason is such a cute dad! He doesn't even complain when it takes him twice as long to get something done cause he has a child on his lap! What a good sport!
